Kellylee Evans is an amazing Juno award-winning jazz singer, songwriter and motivational speaker. Kellylee has survived 2 near-death experiences, including being struck by lightening and you’ll hear her perspectives on how that has changed her life. She speaks about the influence of Nina Simone, the impact of being runner-up in the Thelonius Monk Jazz Competition and being mentored by Flora Purim and Dee Dee Bridgewater. We talk about some of her projects, including her album Greenlight, and projects with Roddy Ellias. Towards the end of the conversation, she gives us the gift of an incredible a capella performance of one of the most-requested songs in her repertoire, "Feelin’ Good”, by Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse.
